You'll be joining a small but growing team. As an engineering manager, you'll lead a team to drive impact across a significant portion of the product. We're looking for someone who is excited about helping our students, and our engineers grow and learn.Our Engineering Teams:- Growth: Develop features that help new students discover Cambly
- Learning Experience: Building a the best English-learning experience.
- Matching: Connect students with the best tutor for their learning style.
- Marketplace: Build a healthy marketplace, balancing the needs of our students and tutors.
- Payments: Ensuring our students can subscribe to Cambly, anywhere in the world.
Things we're looking for: - 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years leading an engineering team
- Experience working cross-functionally, especially with product managers
- Experience with our tech stack (mongodb, flask/python, react/redux) or similar technologies
What you'll do on a day to day: - Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and product management to own the team’s vision and strategy.
- Help set team goals and technical direction while ensuring that they align with the goals of the larger organization.
- Build and foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
