Job Description

Constructor has doubled in size over the last year and is looking to add its first People Operations Coordinator to the team! Reporting to the Director of People Ops, we’re looking for a People Ops Coordinator who can actively support the day-to-day people operations activities at Constructor. This will be a great opportunity for someone who is looking to have ownership of a key part of the people function over time and who thrives in a fast paced environment.

In this role you will focus on supporting the employee life cycle, adhering to compliance standards, ensuring data integrity across all of our systems, and partnering with IT and payroll.

Constructor.io powers product search and discovery for some of the largest retailers in the world, like Sephora and Backcountry. We serve billions of requests every year, and you’ve probably seen our results somewhere and used our product without knowing it. We have grown several hundred percent YoY for the last 2 years and have customers in every eCommerce vertical, around the world, and spanning many languages.

In this role, you will

  • Partner with the Director of People to lead and improve on the new hire onboarding process.
  • Conduct new hire onboardings in the US and over time globally.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with new hire onboardings including I-9 compliance, E-verify, background checks, ensuring accurate employee records, and communications.
  • Partner with IT, payroll, and other members of the people team to address issues related to new hires.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly audits of employee and contractor data files to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Partner with the Director of People and management to ensure employee changes are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Identify areas of improvement in our processes and implement new system efficiencies.
  • Prepare exit packets and complete offboarding tasks in our systems
  • Support and celebrate team members, their birthdays, anniversaries, send swag, back recognition programs, and more
  • Other projects as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 1+ year of People Ops Coordination, administrative, or project management experience
  • Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and compliance practices (including but not limited to CA, NY, and CO)
  • Experience maintaining a wide variety of HR tools
  • Interest in People Operations sectors that relate to onboarding, compliance, data integrity and project management
