Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Specialist for our corporate office located in Phoenix, Arizona. The position will reside within the Compliance amp; Legal Department and report to the Compliance Manager.

Our Senior Compliance Specialist will collaborate with the Compliance amp; Legal Department, and across the organization, to mitigate organizational risk and assisting to grow the Compliance amp; Ethics program within PrePass. This role ensures our operations comply with legal and regulatory standards, corporate policies, and contractual obligations. This position assists the Compliance Manager in documenting policies and procedures, coordinating compliance training and communications, creating monitoring and auditing plans and practices, and assist with the implementation of remediations where appropriate. The ideal candidate is a critical-thinker who seeks to understand the business and our regulatory and control environment to create and implement pragmatic solutions that mitigate risk. The successful candidate believes objectivity and insight are core elements to provide assurance on the effectiveness and efficiency of PrePass’s governance, risk management, and internal control processes, while possessing a relentless focus on quality and timeliness. Our goal is to preserve and strengthen the organization’s integrity by ensuring the organization and its business units participate in the Compliance amp; Ethics program via policy and procedure adherence, participation in training and communication, and partnership in monitoring and auditing activities.

Requirements

What We Want You to Do:
  • Create new and/or updated policies and procedures that are accessible, effective, and align with our business needs.
  • Engage with the appropriate stakeholders within PrePass and its affiliates to implement pragmatic risk mitigation controls and practices.
  • Perform testing to evaluate efficacy of compliance controls and initiatives, and partner to improve based on the results.
  • Project manage Compliance amp; Legal initiatives, as well as organizational initiatives where appropriate. Work with stakeholders to ensure understanding, collaboration, and timeliness.
  • Assist in the evaluation and launch of compliance training throughout the organization.
  • Document and track Compliance amp; Legal activities, controls, and projects as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all sensitive organizational information.
Who You Are:
  • BS/BA (or equivalent experience) in liberal arts, law, communications, business, or related fields.
  • 2 - 5 years experience within a compliance-related function (e.g., compliance specialist, compliance risk analyst, compliance management).
  • In-depth knowledge of Compliance amp; Ethics standards as defined by the U.S. Department of Justice and Sentencing Commission.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Methodical and diligent with strong project management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization to ensure compliance.
  • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to integrity and legality.
  • An analytical mind to see the complexities of laws, regulations, and procedures; partnered with pragmatic thinking to find effective solutions.
  • A firm believer that a rich understanding and use of data, innovation, and technology will help improve the Compliance amp; Ethics function within the organization and with our external partners.
  • A teacher who leads by example. Have a passion for doing the right thing, coaching and helping others to better understand compliance and how it helps the whole organization excel.
  • Adapts to change, embrace bold and new ideas, and is intellectually curious; ask questions, seek to understand, test assumptions, and challenge conventional thinking.
  • Certified Compliance amp; Ethics Professional a plus.
