As a TV Producer, you’ll direct our broadcasts and collaborate with our teams globally in the planning and execution of live broadcasts. You are the creative mastermind behind our shows and the conductor in the master control of all the team members to make the show as smooth as possible. If you love the thrill of the live environment but also stay calm amp; relax in hectic situations this is the perfect opportunity to become a member of the ESL family and help push our productions to the next level.
But running the live show out of the master control room is only one aspect of the job of the TV Producer. Together with the editorial amp; talent teams you also investigate the best story lines of the game, the competing teams amp; the tournament and implement those elements into the run of the show in the best possible way to keep the viewer entertained during the show.
The TV Producer reports to our TV Department Director and is a part of our Global Production and Operations team.
Requirements
What you’ll do
- Effectively communicate amp; document your vision amp; structure for the show (internally amp; externally to clients)
- Guide and manage a team pre-, during- and post-production and act as an example for others
- Support administration of content creation plans and processes to support optimization and improvement of event execution
- Assist with day-to-day production needs including scheduling and coordinating studio time, remote recordings, distributing and archiving visuals
- Support the flow of analytics into ESL content development processes by ensuring production and programming is grounded with data
- Successfully collaborate with multiple stakeholders across various disciplines, anticipating both business and customer needs and priorities
- Perform quality assurance by reviewing and updating documentation for accuracy, and consistency in voice, tone, and messaging
- Document and prepare reports on quality issues, performance data and metrics
What you need:
- Experience working in a similar position (minimum 3 years)
- An understanding of technical issues related to TV production
- Strong understanding of the competitive e-sports industry and its events
- Ability to work under time pressure and remain calm in challenging situations
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in the English language, both spoken and written
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively to prioritize the workload of yourself and others
- Ability to manage a team amp; staff
- Commitment, proactive attitude
- Creativity, unconventional thinking
- Willingness and ability to travel, as needed
