POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an experienced Software and Solution Architect with a proven track record in designing and implementing complex modern software systems following best industry practices, tools, and patterns. You will be a member of a highly motivated team and take technical ownership of delivering robust and complex mission-critical solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with other IT professionals, stakeholders in the company, and customers in order to understand the requirements and determine the needs for new software, platforms, and applications
- Provide technology thought leadership to the company
- Design technical solution architecture from high-level conceptual ideas to detailed technical product specifications
- Work with other architects, tech leads and developers to design and implement a modern SaaS platform
- Hands-on involvement in PoC, technology evaluation, pilot implementations, etc.
- Pay attention to system integration, sustainability, and feasibility
- Oversee and guide the work of the development team
- Mentor and train developers and engineers
- Adhere to all the requirements and guidelines for quality, security, extensibility etc.
Requirements
- Hands-on software development experience in one of the major object-oriented programming languages such as Java, etc.
- Strong understanding of OOP, software design patterns, and integration patterns
- Experience in event-streaming and microservice architecture
- Broad and deep knowledge of software technologies
- Strong experience in various database technologies including SQL and NoSQL
- Strong experience in Docker and containers
- Understanding of the modern DevSecOps practices
- Experience in modern Agile development and delivery methodologies
- Strong AWS cloud knowledge
- Technical diagram tools such as Lucid, etc.
- Excellent team player and collaborator
- Excellent communication skills
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- B.S. degree in an IT-related field
- AWS Cloud certification
DESIRED SKILLS (Not Required but nice to have)
- DOD/DHS experience
- Security Clearance
TRAVEL REQUIRED: Ability for up to 10% travel both domestic and international.

WORK SCHEDULE NOTE: While this position is scheduled for a traditional Monday Friday work week, our systems run 24/7/365 and as such, you may be expected to perform out of hours, on-call support on an as needed basis. This may include weekends and/or holidays and is worked on a rotation system with other team members. Additional compensation may be available for working on-call, standby or holiday hours
This is a Public Trust position and requires completion of a State and Federal Criminal History Report (i.e., background check) and may require a Department of Defense security clearance. Current and future employment will be contingent upon satisfactory completion of both the FBI Summary History Report and if designated, a DoD security clearance
