What we are looking for

TMP is looking for a People Operations Manager (PST or MST time zone) to join our growing team! This hands-on individual will be instrumental in building out our U.S. People processes while joining us on our mission to position TMP as the place to build a career in B2B marketing and beyond.

Your influence throughout the entire employee lifecycle will be felt by team members as the opportunity unfolds to cultivate culture and deliver excellent service.

This position will work closely with our Associate Director, People in the US, supporting regional consistencies where appropriate as part of the global People team.


What you will do

  • Provide coaching, development, and training to enhance management capability and accountability. Function as a trusted adviser to managers in coaching them on successful employee development, problem/conflict resolution and performance management
  • Work with management on employee relations situations as they arise and manage the review of all termination requests to ensure compliance with due process, proper supporting documentation, and adherence to company’s policies and/or contractual requirements. Engage in legal support, as required
  • Partner with Associate, People Director to understand the business needs and develop strategies to align them with HR initiatives
  • Negotiate, enhance, and administer company benefits and 401(k) programs including contract renewals and negotiations, employee enrolment, plan administration and required reporting as well as answer any employee benefits questions and maintain benefit files
  • Manage performance review processes including conducting leadership meetings, assisting with difficult messaging and legal matters, and participating in reviews as requested by managers
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations regarding employment and reporting
  • Partner with management team to create and implement programs to develop and engage employees
  • Implement and evangelize global DEI initiatives and report on progress at the local level
  • Actively develop and manage a compensation program by creating salary guidelines that balance market rates with internal equity and projected company growth
  • Oversee all new-hire onboarding and offboarding processes while ensuring we are continuously streamlining and optimizing efforts
  • Facilitate and communicate organizational policies, recommended best practices to maintain compliance
  • Assist in other projects and drive the roll out of new initiatives and programs as assigned
  • Collaborate with Finance and people managers to ensure all employees are paid accurately and timely. Maintain the integrity of employee payroll data and all related employee information systems within our HRIS system BambooHR

Requirements

Who you are

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • High degree of personal integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm, professional, positive, problem-solving attitude
  • Demonstrated level of maturity and judgment, as well as the ability to remain objective and develop trusting and respectful relationships at all levels
  • Ability to influence and build credibility amongst stakeholders and establish collaborative working relationships
  • Driver with proven decision making, problem solving, judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to define priorities and to handle multiple tasks and projects
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and regulations
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits administration BambooHR is a plus
  • Knowledge of payroll solutions amp; processes
  • SHRM/PHR certification or working towards would be advantageous, but not required
