Job Description

Mori is seeking a Sr. Manager, SIOP and Supply Chain. The candidate will be responsible for continuing to implement and run Sales, Inventory amp; Operations Planning (SIOP) process for Mori and overseeing Production Planning and being responsible for Inventory Control to improve productivity and efficiency, thus leading to reducing costs of supply chain.

The Sr. Manager, SIOP Process and Supply Chain will partner with stakeholders to develop and conduct the monthly sales, inventory, and operations planning process. This role will require project management and leadership skills to carry out the SIOP roadmap development, documenting process and partnering with the SIOP team on continuous improvement to the process/monthly cycle. This role will leverage metrics and analytical tools to understand areas for opportunity and improvement. This role also includes overseeing the preparations for Demand/Sales Review Meetings, Supply Review Meetings, Finance Review Meetings and Executive SIOP Meetings by collecting relevant information and metrics, preparing presentations for review, and tracking pending actions.

A key part of this role is to sustain the SIOP process. This will require onboarding new team members from different functions on the SIOP process and engage them on the key expectations. Maintaining and tracking of attendees, producing action plan logs, outcomes, and summaries of the SIOP meetings will be part of this role. The Manager will work as a core of the entire Mori’s operational functions; thus the following responsibilities (subject to change) are included:

Responsibilities

  • Prepares rolling 12-month SIOP Schedule in partnership with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Finance and Manufacturing (including Contracted Manufacturers)
  • Develops dashboards used throughout the SIOP Cycle
  • Assumes responsibilities of managing all inventories of Mori, direct materials and finished goods.
  • Governs task completion and facilitates check points reviews within the cycle.
  • Maintains clear visibility of topics being discussed in each of the SIOP forums, escalates as needed, and links/aligns with meetings/forums external to SIOP
  • Ensures that meeting decisions are communicated and tracked for completion
  • Extracts information from relevant systems and incorporate it in the SIOP Cycle steps presentations
  • Compiles sales forecasts into a demand and supply plan that will satisfy production expectations, while minimizing inventory investment, and maximizing customer growth opportunities
  • Analyzes data as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution
  • Owns the creation of a production plan that is well coordinated across all production teams, feasible from a supply chain parts availability standpoint, and consistent with executive expectations
  • Monitors performance to plan, identify process improvements to support company goals which meet or exceed the key KPIs, escalate / resolve critical issues, and work with Plant to ensure all functions are prepared to support the plan
  • Builds cross-functional teams made up of Production, Supply Chain and Logistics to improve material planning and inventory control
  • Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepare reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution.
  • Develops metrics that ensure teams stay on track and meet production deliverables
  • Creates policies and processes for receiving, material handling, location management and work order management
  • Establishes a warehouse inventory management strategy to ensure timely material availability and supply while reducing the required footprint and inventory holding costs
  • Responsible to establish and communicate the production schedules to the Manufacturing organization and provide updates on material availability
  • Performs other relevant functions necessary for conducting the SIOP process.
