Job Summary
The Aviation Parts and Inventory Specialist will assist the Maintenance Manager, Aamp;P Mechanics and Avionics Technicians with keeping aircraft parts inventory on hand, while maintaining an organized and efficient operation. The Aviation Parts and Inventory Specialist will manage inbound /outbound inventory, ensure quality and accurate documentation, manage inventory records, dispense parts/materials to technicians and customers while always maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient operation. Successful candidates for this role will have experience in parts departments or with inventory control.
Responsibilities:
- Issuing parts and tools in support of the maintenance department
- Verifying and keeping accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- General filing and organization of parts related documents
- Pick up and deliver material and tools from/to the applicable source/destination
- Organizing and loading inventory databases to parts listing websites
- Issuing parts to the maintenance department as required
- Inspection (physical condition and required documents) of incoming and outgoing goods
- Proper packaging and shipping of outbound goods
- Restocking of inventory/supplies and performing inventory cycle counts
- Creating purchase orders and invoices as required for parts transactions
- Fielding OTC calls (third party quotations) and following up as required
- Process and track routable inventory, core returns and repairable items and maintain the required tracking information systems
- Sourcing and purchasing of parts and services to support maintenance and sales. Emphasis on ability to find unique and special items then negotiate best pricing
- Operating a forklift as necessary
- Special Projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
- Must possess computer knowledge in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to understand written and verbal instruction to complete assigned tasks accurately
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand/walk for duration of 8 hour shift, while bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching.
- Prior forklift experience a plus
- Effective at organizing, planning, and prioritizing work with multiple and changing priorities and deadlines. Strong time management skills.

- Prior experience in aviation is strongly preferred but not required.
Benefits
$60,000 and up commensurate with experience.
