Job Description

For the restaurants we partner with, we provide a value-driven, low-risk way to enter into new markets, grow revenue through off-premise dining, and expand delivery areas by removing barriers such as capital or technology expertise.

As a contract Recruiter at Kitchen United, you will help lead KU's entire business recruiting efforts. Your work week will consist of 20-25 hours a week unless adjusted by your leader. You will partner with the internal stakeholders, and collaborate with hiring managers and General Managers throughout the US. The ideal candidate is someone who is driven, eager to learn, and gets excited to take on great challenges.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the ATS and continuously making process improvements for operational efficiencies
  • Manage a high-touch approach for the entire recruiting lifecycle
    • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
    • Post, update and ensure consistency of all internal and external job postings
    • Review resumes and credentials for skillset, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements
    • Prepare recruitment materials and source and recruit candidates by using company websites, databases, social media posts, appropriate job boards, online recruitment resources, etc.
  • Create additional sourcing channels by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, and internet sites
  • Provide reporting on recruiting metrics, creates and presents on recruitment metrics
  • Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position
  • Stay abreast of current legislation and policy changes to ensure recruiting activities follow all processes and procedures outlined by Federal, State, and Local employment law
  • Thorough understanding of hiring needs both at the corporate and center teams; partner closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to develop sourcing and hiring strategies
  • Identify, attract and close candidates that align with hiring plans in creative, marketing, design and other business related roles
  • Train new GM’s on ATS and partnering closely with each of them for on-going recruiting efforts (70% of recruiting will focused on non-exempt hospitality/restaurant related roles)
  • Will be responsible for initiating background and reference checks prior to extending offers
  • Responsible for managing background check platform and works closely with the vendor to resolve any technical issues that may arise
  • Refine and ensure efficiencies in hiring processes and ensure positive candidate experience to continuously deliver high quality candidates and meet hiring goals
  • Partners with marketing team on social media and employer branding efforts
  • Successfully and strategically deliver on hiring targets, assess each market and needs to ensure there is a pipeline of candidates for the centers
  • Define, measure and prove ROI to internal stakeholders
  • Create and distribute data, metrics and performance reports on a regular basis
  • Responsible for maximizing individual and team performance, while maintaining an effective working environment
  • Designing and implementing new processes, with a demonstrated passion for process and achieving efficiency
  • Create and maintain process documentation, training materials, letter templates, and other internal communications


Onboarding

  • Facilitate post-offer process with employees once offer has been accepted
  • Onboard new employees into HRIS system, ADP Workforce Now
  • Ongoing training of GM’s as it relates to recruiting tools and processes. Help create templates and upload and manage the offer letter process
  • Lead New Hire Orientation and Onboarding
  • Manage and own all work authorization verifications (E-verify)
  • Background check management and review of each report

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or at least 3+ years HR/Recruiting or related experience
  • Must have at least 2+ years experience in restaurant, retail or hospitality background
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software (ATS), as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS)
