Job Description

The legal assistant (hearing prep) position prepares email (sometimes physical) packages for foreclosure attorneys to use at court hearings. This is a production position. Additionally, the candidate may support the attorney and paralegal in daily tasks. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong desire to progress within our organization. Responsibilities

  • Supports the attorney and lead paralegal
  • Prepares attorneys for hearings

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Some collateral experience/knowledge of mortgage documents
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and efficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

Some basic legal knowledge of pleadings

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Associate’s Degree required
  • Relevant experience may compensate for education
