Job Description
Smartrr is the leading next generation subscription app built to maximize LTV for Shopify brands. Built with the end customer in mind, Smartrr increases brand engagement and LTV with a variety of out of the box subscription models, a beautifully branded subscriber account experience, loyalty rewards, referrals, member-only benefits, advanced subscription analytics and more. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of designing Smartrr’s SEO program and taking it to new heights through thorough keyword research, innovative content formats, and creative copy. Working in close partnership with partners and stakeholders across Smartrr, this position will create the strategy and lead the execution to attract and convert organic traffic.
- Develop SEO Strategy:
- Develop SEO strategy, backed by sophisticated keyword research and product marketing feedback.
- Own all SEO initiatives based on opportunity analysis, SEO best practices, sophisticated keyword research, backlink opportunities and continuous optimization.
- Partner with Digital Marketing Manager to ensure keyword alignment.
- Execute SEO Content:
- Be the execution of Smartrr’s ‘Brand Voice’.
- Produce written content across all formats including but not limited to blogs, ebooks, one-pagers, press releases, email marketing, social media, product documentation etc.
- Manage deadlines according to a committed content calendar.
- Optimize SEO Strategy
- Create dashboards that track the performance of SEO initiatives over time.
- Keep up with SEO industry trends and and work closely with Product, Product Marketing, Customer Success and the Sales team to integrate SEO best practices during website redesigns, product releases, sales enablement and new content offerings.
- Conduct social listening to identify opportunities for organic content and the brand at large
- Champion SEO Strategy Internally:
- Provide regular updates to team members amp; key partners on project status, timelines, and results.
- Brief and maintain a Smartrr content calendar while partnering with our Marketing Associate on syndication eff
Requirements
- You have 3-5 years of experience in SEO specific content writing with a track record of having a successful impact on lead generation and overall business growth.
- You have exceptional copywriting skills.
- You are excellent at managing deadlines.
- You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
- You are an out of the box thinker who loves cross-functional white board sessions.
- You are a self-starter, you don’t just propose problems, you propose solutions and implement them quickly and efficiently.
- You learn quickly and adapt to an always-evolving search industry.
- Proficient with SEO industry tools and resources such as SEMrush, Moz, Google Keyword planner, etc.
- Proficient in WordPress
- Bonus points for working in a media/press environment and/or having a background in ecommerce.
