YouthBuild USA, located in Roxbury, MA, is the nonprofit support center for YouthBuild programs. It provides technical assistance, innovative program enhancements, quality assurance systems, and advocacy to help ensure that every YouthBuild program can create an impact in its community.


Job Summary

The Events Manager will lead and manage all event operations and management relating to logistics and communications. S/he will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the timelines are fully met and executed. This role requires strong multi-tasking, adaptability, flexibility, detail-orientation, excellent interpersonal relations, organizational skills, and creative problem solving. The successful candidate will have strong event management skills in all aspects of the planning and execution phases for the in-person, virtual, hybrid, and webinar events. This position requires domestic travel up to 10 times a year. Our office is located in Roxbury, MA. Remote possible.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage event logistics for virtual, webinars, webcasts, recordings, in-person, and hybrid events from start to finish.
  • Assist in designing and developing different methodologies to deliver certification content and events.
  • Provide facilitation support for virtual, in-person, and hybrid events.
  • Provide support as needed for DOL YouthBuild Program Impact Team.


Other Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support with writing funder or organizational reports.
  • Support content developers to ensure the continuity of the goals and objectives are aligned with the overall event.
  • Engage and support the event evaluation process and feedback to help measure the success of the event and attendee satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Events and Vice President of DOL YouthBuild Program Impact.

Requirements

Education amp; Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit, event/hospitality or business management preferred.
  • 5+ years of event management experience (conferences, trainings, webinars, events).
  • Event registration management system (e.g., Cvent).
  • Virtual and hybrid event platforms.
  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) or other designated event certification is a plus, but not required.


Skills amp; Knowledge Required

  • Knowledgeable in audiovisual equipment, video editing, audio and video production.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests and tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent at follow-up and follow-through and solve problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Sense of humor, energetic, organized, work well under pressure, strong multi-tasking, and flexibility.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop), internet, and web navigation.


Physical Effort Required

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more and stand or sit for extended periods.

Compensation

YouthBuild USA offers competitive salary and benefits, including health coverage, a 401(k) savings plan, life insurance, and disability benefits. Salary range between $60k - $65k.
