The role
We're looking for an Android Technical Lead to anchor our US mobile team! To excel in this role you should be willing to dive into any challenge, collaborate with peers and project stakeholders, and deliver high quality experiences to our growing user base.
In this role you will:
- Architect, build and own end-to-end experience
- Bring new and improved mobile first tennis experiences for both players and providers. Examples include: leagues, group messaging, player monetization, gamification, rewards and more
- Work closely with our US Mobile Lead and global engineering team to set best practices and technical direction, and prioritize projects on the roadmap
- Use the latest technologies including Kotlin amp; Jetpack
- Support new initiatives, including: collaborating with product management and business partners to establish development plans and timelines and implement scalable and clean user experiences
- Help hire and mentor junior engineers
- Focus on quality, performance, reliability, and build experiences users love
Requirements
- Passionate Android engineer with 7+ years experience. Familiarity with Kotlin, reactive programming (coroutines amp; RxJava), Jetpack, amp; Contour are a plus
- Experience as a technical lead and mentor
- Track record of delivering complex projects on time
- Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques
- Experience in API design, performance optimization, client architecture, and debugging tools
- Have a deep and up-to-date knowledge of Android design principles and patterns
- Experience in other parts of our Stack is a plus - iOS, Swift, React, Javascript, C#, Elastic Search, and Azure.
- Authorization to work in the United States
Salary
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $120,000 to $175,000. The final base salary for this role will take into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location differential associated with where the position will be filled.
