Who we are:
ICAST (International Center for Appropriate and Sustainable Technology) is a 501c3 nonprofit that delivers green upgrades to multifamily affordable housing (MFAH) properties to fight the affordable housing, climate change, and social equity crises. We motivate people to act, leading to results that foster local economic development, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility. By 2025, we aim to serve 100,000 LMI households annually, reduce their utility costs by $270 Million and Carbon emission by 1.5 million tons, create 2,000 sustainable jobs, and invest over $100 Million in local communities.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Recruiter who possess a network of candidates in Tennessee. Our expectation is the recruiter will perform talent sourcing and candidate screenings to facilitate moving highly qualified candidates on to interviewing by our hiring manager. A successful candidate should be able to attract candidates using various sources, including but not limited to social media networks and employee referrals. Our ideal candidate will be able to show a track record of attracting and hiring mission-aligned employees for their customers.
Requirements
Must Have Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
- History of recruiting for Construction and Sales positions in Tennessee
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid ability to conduct interviews (structured, competency-based, stress etc.)
- Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference check etc.)
- Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Workable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a local network of contacts within TN
- Experience recruiting in the construction or energy efficiency industries
- Demonstrable success recruiting for Sales, Construction, Program/Project Management positions
Location: Local to TN or within the Southeastern region of the United States
Reports to: Director of HR
Skill Level: Intermediate
Areas of Expertise: Recruiting, Candidate Sourcing, Interviewing
Compensation: $30 - $35/hr. DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand position requirements from hiring manager
- Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc.
- Screen candidate resumes
- Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates that are a strong match for the position
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
