The Position
We are seeking a Kitter/Material Handler in our Logistics department on 2nd shift to organize and transport product and support material and equipment within the area of assignment. You may use manual and powered material handling equipment and packaging equipment.
Rate of Pay
The Material Handler position starts at $20.75/hr which includes shift differential.
The Hours
This position works Monday-Thursday, 3:00 pm - 1:00 am. During our busy season, we anticipate there being overtime available. Busy season is typically August-December but is subject to change based on production needs.
The Location
We are located at 1 Bon Terrain Drive, Amherst, NH. This position is onsite. Please note that we are taking precautions on COVID-19 based on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations as well as state and local guidance.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who has experience in material handling and inventory. You should be very comfortable with data entry and using ERP/MRP systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite. You should have at least 2-5 years of experience with operating forklifts, pallet jacks, scan guns, bin transfers, and cycle counting. You will need to have high attention to detail, accuracy, and problem solving abilities.
Additional Job Details
- Locate, pick, move and store material according to established procedures, both written and verbal
- Split material per pick list
- Use WMS system to keep inventory accurate
- Create HU pallet label in WMS and affix to new pallet
- Move and stores material in proper locations.
- Use material handling equipment such as hand and powered pallet movers, fork trucks, standup reach truck and some powered packing equipment such as banders and stretch wrap machine
- Maintain proper documentation and records using various paper forms and computer systems and RF Scan Guns
- Follows and complies with all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintains individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner.
- Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment/ tooling, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Count items and audit pallets for inventory accuracy.
- Maintain necessary records as required.
- Moves material as necessary in performance of duties.
- Obtain and maintain proper training for powered industrial trucks. Maintain daily logs
- Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2-5 Years of Warehouse Experience.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience required.
- Experience using scan guns.
- Experience loading trailers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to cross-train in other departments.
- Ability to problem solve on a daily basis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
