Job Description

Shepard is seeking a Logistics Regional Supervisor that will assist in managing the day-to-day onsite/internal operations of the Logistics department in each region (East, Central, and West). They will quote and sell local, regional, and domestic shipping services including air, ground, van line, flatbed, truckload, and caravan.


Essential Job Duties

  • Sell and administer logistics services both in-house and occasionally at show site
  • Provide rate quotes with a target defined profit margin
  • Provide routing with preferred carrier base
  • Set up FTL and LTL loads through preferred carrier program
  • Provide customers with proper shipping documents, including shipper letter of instructions, bill of lading, and labels
  • Track and trace shipments from pickup through POD
  • Invoicing and cash collections for balance dues
  • Process and maintain accounting reports for A/R purposes
  • Research and resolve shipment errors and claims issues
  • Assist in maintaining Logistics SOP’s and forms
  • Assist in implementing training for Logistics Specialist, Coordinators, Customer service Representatives (CSRs) on selling and processing shipping services
  • Initiate email plans to prospective or current clients
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to work overtime and on-call weekends when required
  • At least 2+ year of experience selling and servicing shipping or transportation services
  • At least 3+ year of customer service experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience using web-based shipping vendor websites
  • High Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point and ability to use standard office equipment
  • College degree preferred but can be substituted for relevant work experience
