Market Operations Analyst (Remote) (1:00pm-10:00pmET Shift)

Job Description
The Members Exchange (MEMX) is searching for a Market Operations Analyst. The primary focus of this role is customer service, being the first point of contact for exchange members, ensuring timely responses and ticket logging for all interactions. Other responsibilities include the monitoring and troubleshooting of the exchange. The team will be point in identifying and mitigating operational risks and attending to Members requests. Clear and constant communication across many different internal and external departments will be necessary.
Shift time for this role will be 1:00pm-10:00pmET.
This is a remote role with one required visit to the New Jersey HQ per quarter.
Currently approved remote states include: NJ, NY, CT, PA, FL, IL, KS, GA, NC, SC, ME.
Requirements
- Ideal candidate would have trade desk or operations desk experience at a broker dealer or exchange (1-3 years)
- Effective and clear communicator that is able to handle complex issues with customers and internal groups in high pressure situations
- Experience supporting FIX and SBE Protocols
- Strong data analytics capabilities with the ability to write basic queries in SQL, Groovy or Python
- Must be confident working with real-time monitoring to identify issues and help solve problems
- Knowledge of us equity and options markets, market structure and clearing- cryptocurrency experience a plus
- Willingness to obtain necessary licenses as directed by Compliance
- Desire to learn new things and be flexible in a quickly changing environment
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a complex operational setting
- Self-starter who can work independently
