Who We’re Hiring:
As the Dispatch Manager, you will be a core member of the Ride Health Fleet Management team. With responsibility for successfully managing the operation of our Gastonia/Charlotte Dispatch Coordinators, you will have an immediate impact on the healthcare availability for Ride Health clients. As you collaborate with key stakeholders to meet client and internal requirements, policies, and procedures, you will be providing vulnerable populations with the freedom and convenience of reliable, safe transportation. This hybrid position allows for remote work with the requirement to attend meetings and events in-person locally in the Gastonia/Charlotte office.
Success in this position will require exceptional communication skills, attention to details, and creative problem solving. This is a player-coach role and requires the individual lead as well as work side-by-side with their team to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on Ride Health’s internal trip intake system and any 3rd party routing/trip management software.
- Directly manage the dispatch team including performance development, scheduling, and training.
- Individually and as a team: plan, distribute, oversee, and follow-up daily route assignments to ensure we are servicing customers in compliance with our company standards.
- Ensure positive associate engagement and associate development through timely and effective feedback.
- Communicate daily with the Fleet Management team to instruct and update them on daily workload or any critical changes to the workload.
- Collaborate with other managers or staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, or objectives.
- Work directly with various departments to solve member and/ or client concerns.
- Communicate to key stakeholders all pertinent information captured during or after conference calls, work groups and team meetings.
- Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
- Establish situational procedures for issues that will impact fleet performance
- Establish and maintain relationships with transportation providers to aid our ability to effectively route trips, both timely and fiscally sound.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or relevant work experience.
- 5 years of fleet management experience.
- Experience managing vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Working knowledge of GPS-enabled fleets.
- Ability to multitask; excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- NOTE: Candidates must have internet speed of 10 mbps and ability to hard-wire in via ethernet as needed
