We are inviting an experienced Practice General Manager to join our growing team within the field of mental health and to help us make a difference in our clients' lives! In this brand-new role, you will play a key role in the success of the Practice and provide leadership for all aspects of Palo Alto Therapy’s operations with an emphasis on long-term goals and growth to maximize productivity, success, and excellence across the organization. You will be responsible for executing on the vision and mission of the overall organization, as well as providing practical oversight of day-to-day operations.

The key areas are strategy and growth planning; general operations management; including financial performance management; and, leadership and team development. You will wear many hats in this role and work closely with our founder to grow the practice. You will likely have worked in a similar sized company in a health or services practice.

This is a full-time position.

Palo Alto Therapy (in San Jose AND Palo Alto) is a growing 30-person, high-end counseling center that is dedicated to providing quality mental amp; behavioral health counseling to those who are struggling with anxiety and depression problems. We specialize in helping our clients (children through adults) overcome panic, social anxiety, worry, OCD, depression, among many other emotional difficulties, using evidence based therapy, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Requirements

Our Ideal Applicant...

  • Master’s Degree in Business or Public Administration or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the roles and duties involved in health or service practice leadership; understanding of clinical staff duties and responsibilities.
  • Extensive professional experience in leadership; 5 years or more of experience leading a team of similar size in the mental health or directly related industry.
  • Strong business acumen: translates business knowledge to the identification/creation of goals and objectives.
  • Develops ideas and gains others’ commitment; Seizes opportunities that can deliver the greatest value; Promotes an environment of creative thinking and innovation across multiple functions and areas of discipline.

Main Areas of Responsibility and Duties:

Strategy amp; Growth Planning

  • Leads in a solution-focused, collaborative manner with an emphasis on continuous improvement for employees and the organization.
  • Ensures that all organizational activities operate consistently, efficiently, and ethically within the mission and values of the Company.

General Operations Management

  • Establishes and maintains information on Key Performance Indicators of each service and business location to ensure the embodiment of the organizational values of excellent client relationships, supervisor employee work environment and clinical quality.
  • Reviews the financial results of all operations, comparing them with the company's objectives and taking appropriate measures to correct unsatisfactory performance and results.
  • Maintains excellent and prompt communication with all departments to ensure coordination of operational activities; promotes exceptional client service and excellent service delivery.

Leadership amp; Team Development/Management

  • Promotes communication and cooperation among divisions to create a spirit of unity in the organization.
