We are looking for a Senior Hardware Product Manager to lead the development of our hardware products and help us build great products that are used at all sorts of gatherings - weddings, birthdays, conferences - by empowered entrepreneurs and business owners who use our products to build and help grow their businesses. To be successful in this role, you should be confident in your ability to see a product from ideation to production - from definition, development, optimization and launch of PBSCO’s own Hardware based products.
You will also manage the day-to-day operations of your team and the relations of our various partners, as well as collaborate with software product teams to support our integrated ecosystem of products. A critical component to the success of our team’s success as we work with team members and agencies throughout the United States, Asia, Mexico, and South America!
You will work alongside and report directly to the Director of Product, the Hardware Team, and CEO.
- Achieve 50% upgrade rate for new products
- Achieve and maintain 80% gross margin on all photo booth products
- Increase TAM by 50% by 2026
- Dedicated experience working on new product initiatives within companies
- Ideation:
- Perform market research to map out the landscape of opportunity
- Support user research for new product initiatives
- Work with project management in forecasting project timelines
- Support the development of the product vision, strategy and roadmap related to our photo booth / product lines
- Design:
- Ability to oversee the entire design process of product development from conceptualization to launch
- Ability to manage the development pre-production 2D drawings, 3D CAD files, and Spec Documentation for handoff to external vendors for product creation
- Prototyping + Testing:
- Strong prototyping experience - either direct, hands on experience or a dedicated network of prototyping partners
- Product Production Kickoff:
- Experience in overseeing vendor and pre-production efforts for mass production approval
- Able to oversee and coordinate with the CM partner on hardware related topics
- Ideation:
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of product management / development experience
- Ability to use Design-Thinking with an eye towards user experience and user empathy
- The ideal candidate will be experienced bringing new products and technologies to market, working with marketing, sales, and support to create product launches
- Expertise or Strong Skill sets and/or working experience in the following disciplines. Should include 3+ years in multiple disciplines listed:
- Industrial Design
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- DFA - Design for Assembly
- DFM - Design for Manufacture
