Kickr Design is looking for an experienced off-site Business Development Engineer that is interested in joining a growing company in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a passion for engineering, advanced product design (Medical Devices, high technology, industrial automation), is excellent at developing strong relationships with prospects, and can demonstrate an ability to quickly and creatively solve problems. The position also requires an individual that works well on their own, interacts with clients with professionalism, and is confident in his/her own sales and business development skills.

We are looking for a candidate with a very strong engineering background, who has been on the leading edge of business development or sales engineering in a highly technical field. The ideal candidate will have worked in multiple industries as an engineer and have a strong breadth of knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems as well as excellent communication skills and a passion for closing those elusive customers!

As a Business Development Engineer, you will own the outside business development arena and drive our company's growth by winning new deals for our talented, diverse engineering team. You will seek out and court prospects ranging from startups to large brands and businesses, each with their own completely unique products and engineering challenges. You will leverage Kickr Designs extensive engineering capability in your discussions, finding interesting problems that our engineering team can help solve across multiple industries, engineering disciplines and project types.

Key Tasks:

Prospect customers, arrange meetings and on-site visits

Attend events locally in Atlanta, GA, the Southeast and select events around the country on behalf of Kickr Design

Network and meet potential customers while fostering relationships with prospects.

You will setup project consultations with a wide range of unique companies over the phone or in-person

Speak directly with clients and provide helpful engineering insights in conversation

Draft amp; send personalized proposals/estimates for new projects

Attend project "Kick-Off" meetings amp; hand off project to engineering team

Work with the Sales Engineering team to close jobs

Requirements

Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering (any discipline)

Well-rounded engineering knowledge

Ability to discuss and brainstorm a wide variety of solutions to a hugely diverse set of potential problems

5 years customer facing experience in Sales, Sales Engineering or Business Development

Excellent interpersonal skills are a MUST!

Excellent oral and written communication skills are a MUST!
