The Opportunity

We are looking for a United States based, talented and inquisitive Unity engine developer to work at the forefront of mobile augmented reality technologies in support of knowledge management systems. At Baltu we are building a platform that can train anyone to do anything. You will work primarily with the product development team and be responsible for planning and implementing application functionality and ensuring the quality of the finished product. Collaborating with a variety of departments, this role requires a proactive attitude and a good team ethic.We are looking for someone who can work with us toward a unified common vision.

The successful applicant would report to the Lead Developer and the Chief Technology Officer and have responsibilities over application development and some technology research.

This position is fully remote, there is a preference towards individuals located in the western United States as our main team is located in that geographical area, however, for the right candidate this is not mandatory (being US based however, is mandatory).

Responsibilities will include:

• Support the development of features and components of the application as well as the product design and code elements.
• Collaborate with other members of the team to deliver features on time and to a high standard of quality.
• Be part of the development process and contribute improvements and suggestions, driving the quality of the code throughout the entire production cycle.
• Along with the lead developer, work with IT, Marketing, Design and Content personnel to ensure schedules and goals meet business and project needs.
• Help support the vision and development of groundbreaking technologies.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities at a high level include:

• Attend team and company meetings.
• Plan, design and implement application features working as part of the wider Baltu Technologies team.
• Transform design specification into functional application assets.
• Quickly create and iterate on prototypes showcasing efficacious designs and interaction patterns.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Ensure the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Have a blast doing what you enjoy.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Strong C# object-oriented programming and scripting language skills.
• Experience working with Unity assets (UI System, XR add-ons, materials etc).
• Understanding UX design process and experience working with UX design teams.
• Experience working with source control systems such as Git in a team environment.
• 2+ years experience with Unity application development.
• 2+ years experience with JSON.
• 2+ years experience with client/server architecture.
• 2+ years of experience with Xcode and Apple developer tools for iOS.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies.

• Inquisitive and forward-thinking ideas in the augmented reality technology or AI space.
• Ability to adapt and excel within a high-performance startup environment.
• Great if you have a college degree, even better if you’ve shipped products. Portfolio of mobile applications development experience is a plus.
• Experience with integration and user acceptance testing.
