Job Description
Abbott-Interfast is seeking a quality compliance manger located in our Wheeling IL location. The compliance manger reports to the Sr. Director of Operations. This position is responsible for maintaining our ISO 9001: 2015 quality system.
This role will also entail preparing, organizing and generating various certifications for products, some of which are manufactured on site and others purchased from our supplier base. A good candidate should have a sound understanding of reading and interpreting testing results.

Experience in the fastener industry is a plus

Quality Compliance Mgr is an in office position

Requirements
- Must have basic experience or knowledge of an ISO 9001:2015 system.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues
- Provide concise, complete and accurate documentation of inspection results relative to area of responsibility.
- Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers
- Undertake special projects as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Attend various meetings in house and at suppliers locations and action/communicate instructions
- Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact
- Undertake personal continuous training and development
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Independently determine approach and assigned tasks

Skills amp; Attributes:
Knowledge of quality and business systems
Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode
Lean Manufacturing knowledge
Knowledge of TS16949 or willing to learn
Knowledge of ISO45001/OHSAS18001 or willing to learn
Knowledge of measurement techniques
Metrology, Inspection Methods and Equipment
Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings
Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
Planning and prioritizing activities
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to present data effectively
Problem-solving skills
