Diamond Foundry is looking to bring on an Equipment Ops Technician to the team. As an Equipment Operations Technician, you will be joining a team of highly skilled production technicians and engineers. This position focuses on operating and repairing complex semiconductor style plasma CVD reactors and their support equipment. Since this is for the night shift, with less engineering backup, we are looking for more senior people with a proven ability to work with less support.
Typical wage ranges for this position is $24.00-$35.00 per hour. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s job duties, experience, and expertise. We will also consider higher level candidates and wage will be adjusted accordingly.Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot the plasma CVD reactors which have complex computer controlled electro-mechanical, high vacuum, high power microwave, and high pressure gas systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to minimize tool down-time and increase equipment availability and reliability.
  • Create and maintain production, maintenance and repair documentation, and records as needed.
  • Work with team members and independently with a high degree of initiative to support and maintain good manufacturing processes and continuous improvements.
  • Communicate production status and issues in a timely manner to team members and management.
  • Train personnel on equipment, maintenance, and safety practices.
  • Operate, repair, and maintain equipment including, but not limited to, CVD reactors, high-temp hydrogen furnaces, lasers, compressors, chill water systems, high-pressure gas systems, H2 generators, purifiers, DI water units, HVAC, and rotoblock UPS systems.
  • Assist in facilities maintenance to ensure an adequate production environment.
  • Shifts are on a 3 day, 12 hour rotation.
Requirements:
  • Manufacturing or Facilities experience a plus.
  • Lead technician experience is preferred.
  • Associates degree in technical field, military technical training with 4+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ work experience in a related technical field.
  • Ability to troubleshoot high vacuum systems, microwave systems (generators, waveguide, tuners) using schematics, drawings, piping diagrams or equipment manuals and specifications.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude in facility equipment required (pumps, motors, compressors, heat exchangers, VFDs, PLCs, etc.), compressed gas control, purification, and monitoring systems a plus.
  • Familiarity using PPF and safe practices when working with HV, microwave, compressed gases, and chemicals.
  • Ability to perform critical tasks with a high level of accuracy per procedures.
  • Good computer skills, and MS-Office (or Google apps equivalent).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Documentation experience a plus.
  • No work restrictions: This position requires standing, kneeling, reaching, climbing ladders, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime and weekends to meet production goals.
