RuMe Property Management is looking for an energetic, skilled regional maintenance supervisor to lead maintenance teams and initiatives throughout our midwestern portfolio of apartment communities. The regional maintenance supervisor will be responsible for driving best practices and processes to ensure our portfolio’s physical condition is well-maintained, satisfying ownership and management’s objectives. This role is very process oriented and will be responsible for providing guidance and training on policies and procedures to onsite staff, evaluating and inspecting buildings for short- and long-term needs, and recommending needed maintenance or improvements.
The regional maintenance supervisor will be based out of Columbus, OH but will also oversee maintenance operations at our Indianapolis, IN properties.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and repair services at all properties, providing assistance to onsite staff or filling in at a property as needed
- Evaluate and inspect buildings for short- and long- term needs and recommend needed maintenance or improvements
- Oversee capital improvement and renovation projects, including but not limited to; understanding the scope of work, obtaining bids, ensuring budgets are adhered to, monitoring the quality of the work
- Provide guidance and training on projects and preventative maintenance to onsite maintenance staff
- Provide regular status reports to corporate management
- Perform regular property inspections and be willing to address findings with both the staff and corporate management
- Utilize various devices and programs, such as Microsoft suite and Yardi
- Evaluate and interview prospective maintenance applicants and make recommendations to community management
Requirements
- Must be willing to travel regularly and relocate to certain properties for extended periods of time as needed
- Must have experience managing a large staff
- Experience with Capital Improvement projects
- Strong computer literacy and skills, specifically with Microsoft Office and Yardi
- Must be a good problem solver and must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Apartment maintenance management experience is required, preferably on a regional level
- Must be proactive, highly analytical, and organized
- Must be able to manage and prioritize workload
- An outgoing personality, positive attitude, and proven reliability
- Must have strong communication and leadership skills
- Must be to adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
- Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours
- Travel 50-75%
