This position will require working with clients in the Mid-West.

Typical Responsibilities Include:

Provide positive leadership, manage and develop a group of staff members always making decisions based on mission, vision, and values. The Delivery Manager role has a combination of internal (Service Line) and external (Account Management) responsibilities and reports to a Service Line Director to develop and ensure quality execution of validation services business opportunities. These individuals set an example of company culture of hard work, positive attitude, commitment to satisfy the customer, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Manage the Performance and Development Review and Planning process for direct reports.
  • Attending leadership meetings and provide accurate status updates on team and associated projects. Submitting status reports as required to Service Line Director.
  • Host bi-weekly one-on-ones with direct reports.
  • New employee recruiting, interviewing and direct hiring decisions (this includes both FTE’s and contractors)
  • House account expansion and new account development
  • Support organizational strategies and department improvements.
  • Play direct role in sales of services to existing (house) client(s). Identification of new and existing client business leads. Directly present Verista services to support business expansion.
  • Generating proposals for new or expanded client project work.
  • Tracking existing project status and funding identify possible project issues and mitigate them. Identify when projects and / or funding are nearing completion and initiate process of lining up next engagement for the internal resource on their team if project will end.
  • Providing technical expertise to members of their team as needed for projects.
  • Project and Resource administration within the corporate SalesForce / FinancialForce system(s)
  • .Approve timesheets for resources executing projects within their account(s)
  • Oversee activity at the Account, including interfacing with project team members to ascertain project status and implement corrective / preventive actions (if / when applicable)
  • Approve monthly invoicing• Review proposals submitted by Account Manager• Support organizational strategies and department improvements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Scientific degree
  • 7 years, including 3 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Experience with lab equipment and/or Informatic systems (LIMS, ELN, CDS, SDMS, etc).
  • Proven technical documentation/report writing skills using excellent concise grammar and logic for authoring, reviewing, and editing computer system validation documents.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint
    • Word (work with large documents containing tables, TOC, styles, track changes)
    • Excel (create, modify charts, filter data, use of functions within multiple worksheets)
    • MS Project (schedule creation, milestone tracking and management, and assignment of resources)
