We are currently seeking a Director of Development who serves as a key member of the leadership team. The Director of Development will report to and work directly with the Chief Advancement Officer. They will further the mission and vision of THA by overseeing the planning and implementation of a strategic fundraising plan through various methods including individual donors, corporations, foundations and government funding. What You Would Do:
- Work with Chief Advancement Officer, Executive Team, Board of Directors, and other THA leaders, as appropriate, to create a strategy and comprehensive fundraising plan, including metrics and timelines, to support the mission and vision of THA in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.
- Implement the development plan in alignment with THA values and ethical fundraising practices.
- Implement stewardship systems and processes of all donor and grant relationships, fundraising efforts, and fund management.
- Cultivate and foster donor relationships, connect donors with the mission as well as specific interest opportunities within THA.
- Organize, plan, and execute fundraising events according to the development strategic plan and in conjunction with other THA leaders, board members, and community partners.
- Work with the Advancement Committee on the Board of Directors to cultivate and foster new fundraising opportunities.
- Assist in preparing materials and reports of activities and achievements for board meetings, monitoring progress and making recommendations to adjust where needed.
- Manage fund development and fundraising activities to budget.
- Collaborate with Creative Director and Marketing Director to execute all development related materials including annual report, donor-facing materials and fundraising content.
- Work in conjunction with the finance team for revenue management and tracking.
Compensation
Based on job duties and requirements, this Director position is placed in salary band 49 with a salaried pay range of $85,000.00 to $100,000.00. Initial placement within this range will be based on hired candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
Requirements
Education and/or Licensure Bachelor’s or Associates’ Degree required or equivalent work experience related to fundraising. No licensure required but certification as CFRE is preferred.
Experience Must have 5+ years in fundraising experience for a non-profit agency, healthcare preferred but not required. Experience with LGBTQIA+ and/or other marginalized communities a strong plus. Familiar with fundraising software, CRM’s, communication platforms, and Microsoft office products.
Travel Must be able to travel regularly between Austin, Dallas and San Antonio, TX.
Additional Requirements Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
