Network Support Technician (Austin)Frankenstein Computers
Frankenstein Computers is a dynamic IT support and computer repair company that has been growing in Austin since 1999. Our operations are expanding and we are looking for a highly qualified individual to join our team/family. We work Monday Friday, 8 to 5 and although there is usually overtime available, it is never mandatory. We offer a 3% matched retirement plan, cover 50% of healthcare, and paid time off after 30 days.
Duties:
* Perform routine maintenance on workstations, servers and network equipment.
* Troubleshoot issues on PCs, Macs, Servers.
* Troubleshoot and repair network malfunctions, connections to printers, other peripherals.
* Troubleshoot and support Windows environment.
This position is a front-line, customer facing role, so solid communications skills and versatile analytical skills with ability to timely solve issues that might not have a clear solution are a must. Customer communication skills to clearly ask questions and listen to customers in order to find the issue, explain the problem in a clear and understandable way, and give options for repair or replacement. Manage part ordering from multiple vendors and invoice management. Must have strong customer service skills. This position will require extensive documentation of activities performed for customers. Must have reliable transportation.
Skills/Qualifications:
* Must be able to demonstrate the ability to figure it out and have strong Google-Fu.
* Knowledge of Active Directory/Domain environments, TCP/IP, VPN.
* Extensive knowledge of Office 365 a must.
* Knowledge of PC/Laptop hardware, PC software repair and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of SonicWALL, Cisco, Meraki, and Ubiquiti encouraged.
* Knowledge of servers, VMWare/Hyper-V encouraged.
* Wireless networking.
