Job Description
Kids Science Labs (www.kidssciencelabs.com), the world leader in hands-on science education, is seeking to hire our next great Assistant GM in Greenlake. This is a part-time roll that requires 25 hours per week at our beautiful location just 1 block from Greenlake. Successful candidates must have hands-on problem solving skills, know how to smile, be able to work in a team, and love being around kids and parties.
We are looking for an energetic assistant general manager to oversee center operations and ensure parents and children have a wonderful experience from the time they enter the center on weekends. Key times of availability are Friday - Sunday or Saturday - Monday. On weekends, Kids Science Labs offers hands-on science experiences, including birthday parties, to our families and their guests, and in this role, you will lead a team of 5-6 staff members, including engaging customers, training staff, and delivering high quality hands-on science experiences based on KSL standards. You have to want to have fun and ensure our guests and staff are having fun too!
All candidates should be willing to learn, enjoy communicating with customers and teams, and have the ability to multi-task. Requirements
- BS/BA degree (preferably in communication, business, science, education or organizational psychology)
- High level of organization, ability to prioritize, and be proactive in seeing and solving problems
- Strong decision making skills
- Previous experience delivering exceptional service and managing small teams in retail environments.
- Ability to adapt and operate in a dynamic environment
- Must be available to lead on Saturday, Sunday, and at least 1 weekday
- Ability to manage schedules and resolve team conflic
- Enjoy working with teams and delivering outstanding experiences to families.
