Our bank client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote Sr. Financial Analyst role in the Chicago, IL market. The successful candidate will be responsible for general accounting and finance functions including general ledger entries; financial reporting and analysis; regulatory reporting; and preparation of other reports, schedules and analysis as needed.

The position offers a generous salary of up to $100K and a full benefits package.

Sr. Financial Analyst responsibilities include:

• Financial report preparation and analysis, including monthly Board of Director package, assistance with enhanced accounts payable, fixed asset, prepaid and accrual reporting
• Preparation of supporting schedules and input of general ledger entries.
• Assisting in the preparation and completion of the annual budget and financial statements.
• Preparing regulatory reports including Bank Call Reports and Holding Company regulatory reporting.
• Researching and communicating fluctuations, as needed, for financial reporting and analysis.
• Preparing and analyzing other supporting schedules used for board reporting, regulatory and income tax reporting, and internal and external audits.
• Assisting with daily cash position monitoring and with recommending operational movements as needed.
• Mentoring junior members of the team and participating in department-wide initiatives, including cross-training, process, and procedure documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent related experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress toward passing the CPA exam strongly desired.
• Four or more years of experience in an Accounting or Finance department.
• One or more years in the banking industry.
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Fiserv and Prologue applications preferred.
• Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
