Job Summary: Maintains and improves processes, systems, and reporting tools for Finance department and other departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of the division’s annual and revised homebuilding forecasts.
  • Compile and verify information for reports from information provided by supervisor or division leadership.
  • Track inventory of fixed assets; along with coding and processing payments for sale of fixed assets.
  • Create and perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
  • Maintains reporting amp; analysis related to financial well-being of the division, including but not limited to: cycle times, margins, plan and option pricing, land development budgets, and overheads.
  • Gather data for competitive market analysis.
  • Provides analytical approach to reports.
  • Ensures routine work items are received, organized, and routed as directed by supervisor. Will maintain required records and documentation.
  • Assists in completion of Accounts Payable tasks when necessary.
  • Assists Corporate Accounting with Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
  • Administer BINGO (in-house file) by communicating with different departments to ensure accuracy. Improve functionality as business need change by utilizing excel and analytical skills.
  • Compiles and analyzes special projects as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

Minimum Education Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Real Estate. 1-2 years of homebuilding experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing
  • Strong verbal skills for interaction with office and division personnel
  • Ability to function under pressure and meet time constraints and deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong working knowledge of advanced spreadsheet software package skills (creating spreadsheets in excel at a proficient level while using financial functions).
  • Extensive knowledge of homebuilding operations and finance practices along with job costing, budgeting, and strategic planning
  • Adapt to change easily and participate in a group/team environment.

Work Conditions:

Weekend work and travel required when necessary.
