The Role
Riskalyze is looking for a financial reporting analyst to help drive a transformational change in the depth and quality of financial reporting, enabling the company’s senior leaders to identify key trends and insights while staying ahead of potential challenges.
Objectives
- Assist in overseeing the financial reporting function of the company, which includes: flash reporting, operating reviews, and board updates
- All reporting will require analysis and include insightful commentary on business performance and variations from plan
- Create and maintain Salesforce pipeline reporting by sales stages and flag changes in trends, variances, and inconsistencies
- Partner with sales leadership to capture insights
- Partner closely with the sales, marketing, and accounting teams during monthly/quarterly close cycles to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Consolidate the rolling forecast and develop processes to facilitate streamlined reporting
- Assist Chief Financial Officer in providing ad-hoc analysis for finance-driven decision making
- Assist in corporate development activities such as due diligence and market analysis
Requirements
- 1-3 years combined experience in Strategic Finance, FPamp;A, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Investor Relations, ideally with two years in a financial reporting role. SaaS experience preferred.
- High level of Business Acumen: Ability to understand the business at a level sufficient in order to optimize resource allocation
- Business Partnership: Consistent track record of using quantitative analysis to impact key business decisions.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, financial statements, and other core financial concepts
- Experience influencing, communicating, and building relationships across all disciplines of the company
Ideal Competencies
- Modeling: Familiarity with complex financial and operational models. Including Corporate Operating Model, Sales Capacity Model, and Marketing Pipeline Models
- Data Analysis: A passion for understanding business questions and making data-driven insights. Excellent analytical skills
- Communication: Ability to present financial data concisely using detailed reports and data visualization techniques, as well as through written and oral communication
- Systems: Hands-on experience with financial and planning systems: Salesforce and Adaptive a plus
The expected compensation range for this position is $60k - $75k.
Lesser experience may result in lower compensation and greater experience may result in greater compensation than the stated range.
