Job Title: Quotes Associate
Location: Long Island City/NYC
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Summary:
Flos is currently seeking a skilled Quotes Associate in its Long Island City location to help achieve our high levels of service. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a fast-paced Inside Sales role with a proficiency working within CRM systems MS Office.
The successful candiate will already have some experience of commercial and/or residential lighting sales. Quotes Associate is responsible for building, re-enforcing and maintaining exemplary customer relationships as an integral member of the FLOS Sales Team, responding to customer quote inquiries quickly, professionally, developing and solidifying the business relationship with key customers and associated.
Job Responsibilities:
- Break down bid package and issues Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors for project quotation levels while communicating deadline, project information, and any additional pertinent information available.
- Receive, log, and prepare custom quote inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, manufacturers, and outside sales people as directed.
- Quote product prices, delivery specifications and payment terms.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships. Communicate with customers and co-workers to provide technical information.
- Respond to all customer inquiries including quotations, lead times, cross overs
- Proactively process, expedite, and follow-up on quote requests in an accurate, timely, and professional manner
- Create and maintain productive, professional relationships with distributors, reps, colleagues, and customers.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, outgoing attitude and demeanor
- Work with inter departments to provide accurate quotes
- Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a high-functioning team are essential.
- Excellent follow up skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree, or combination of education and experience plus 2-5 years experience in lighting quotes management perferred.
- Ability to exhibit a positive, friendly and helpful attitude with customers and to be sensitive to their needs.
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must possess general knowledge of lighting products
- Ability to consider all aspects of selling including: vendor relationships, profit and loss concepts and long and short term goals of the company.
- Ability to make independent pricing decisions.
- Able to meet deadlines.
