Iko Brands is a brand aggregator based in NYC. We operate 20+ websites and annually publish over 10k articles that reach over 5M users.
About this position
We are seeking a content editor to help us uphold the highest editorial quality possible. You will be tasked with reading and editing content written by our writers. You must ensure that the content is relevant, does not have jumps in logic, is factually correct, and is high-quality. We will provide you with a complete list of instructions to help you succeed at your job.This is a hourly part-time position with the opportunity to transition into full-time.
Requirements
- Want a meaningful long-term gig with consistent work each week
- Know that communication and editorial collaboration are key to successful writing
- Crush deadlines and maintain editorial quality
- Responsible for completing final copy edits, including checking reports for internal consistency and strengthening headlines and subheadlines
- Ensure all final copy adheres to the Insight and Intelligence Style Guide
- Ensure that output adheres to the proper standards and processes for templates, design and data visualization
- Drive storytelling to ensure that outputs engage readers effectively
- Ideal candidates are current or former English instructors or editors with major publishing experience
- Are based in the US
