Job Description

The Legal Assistant position will provide our new hire with a uniquely experiential opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day bustle of a prestigious legal group’s First Legal Department. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong desire to progress within our organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft, audit, save, and upload affidavits/pleadings into the client system for execution
  • Scan and image affidavits and loan documents
  • Upload scanned images into the system of record
  • Create filing packages verifying all necessary documents are present
  • Audit filing packages confirming signatures are present and loan-level data is accurate
  • Update system of record with key information (i.e. dates, tracking numbers, notations, etc.)
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by department leadership


    Requirements

    • Some knowledge of mortgage documents
    • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
    • Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication
    • Superior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and efficiency
    • Adaptable and flexible to changing workloads and competing priorities

    Education

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • High school or equivalent required

    Physical Functions

    Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time, operate a computer, be detail oriented, regularly listen, learn new training material, and be adaptable to changing workflows.
