Job Description

We’re seeking an Associate Director of Product Marketing, based in the United States, to join our Monetization Product Marketing team. In this role you’ll lead a group of PMMs focused on advertiser experience, being responsible for product marketing and roadmap development for Spotify’s self-serve ad interface (Ad Studio), Spotify’s ad formats, and API program. You’ll lead a global team of product marketers that serve as the voice of the customer for our ad format and interfaces, define product strategy, develop impactful go-to-market plans, and drive successful launches that enhance Spotify’s ad product adoption.
This is a highly cross-functional role and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our rapidly growing ad business, spanning the world of audio from music to podcasts and beyond. The Monetization Product Marketing team sits within the ad product organization and partners closely with leaders across product management, engineering, design, business development, business operations, legal, content, and PR/communications teams.What You'll Do:
  • Lead a distributed team of product marketers focused on end-to-end product marketing of Spotify’s ad interfaces, ad formats, API program and other buy models including Programmatic advertising capabilities.
  • Collaborate with your team to distill market requirements, empowering them to serve as the voice of the customer to our product, design and engineering teams
  • Partner with our product team to influence and define product strategy and establish the connective thread across the commercial roadmaps for Ad Studio, our ad formats, and API program
  • Commercialize the roadmap for these strategically important products, acting as a key stakeholder for our sales, operations, and partnerships teams
  • Enable your team of product marketers to best implement cross-functional go-to-market launches and collect and synthesize high quality product feedback
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and industry leader for Spotify’s ad products both internally/externally
Who You Are:
  • You have a min of 10+ years of strategic product marketing experience and management experience, as well as hands-on tactical execution GTM plans spanning ad formats and self serve ad interfaces
  • You have a BA or BS degree; MBA or quantitative graduate degree a plus
  • You have a strong experience leading teams and a track record of influencing senior partners in product/engineering, partnerships, operations and sales
  • You have experience with customer research and are proficient using data/insights to inform product/GTM strategy
  • You have an interest in telling stories that are backed by data analysis
  • You have experience working globally and are empathetic to customer needs
  • You have experience launching cross-functional go-to-market launches
  • You have a track record of collaborating with a variety of cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment
  • You can explain the value of highly technical concepts in human, relatable, and compelling language.
  • You have experience presenting to large industry groups and meeting with senior external partners.

The United States base range for this position is $182,449 - $228,061, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. These ranges may be modified in the future.
