The Opportunity:
The Flex Leagues Pickleball Program Manager is responsible for the growth, management, player experience and overall success of the Pickleball Flex Leagues operated by Universal Tennis across the United States.
You will leverage our network and passion for Pickleball and focus on the rapid and successful growth of Pickleball Flex Leagues working in both external and internal facing roles. External responsibilities include the day-to-day oversight and management of regional Flex League Managers and your own Markets where your job is to enable best practices to drive league growth and high player engagement. Internal responsibilities include strategic and creative problem solving to help grow existing and new league markets, all while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
What you Will Do:
- You will ensure best practices for your assigned Flex League markets / managers.
- You will work closely with the Flex Leagues and Universal Tennis marketing teams to assure all growth marketing strategies and campaigns are executed.
- Recommend how the team scale and processes can be improved for high volume league operations.
- You will manage league operations such as::
- League event and draw creation
- Daily communications with players to create a high level of league engagement, education, and player retention
- Troubleshoot and brainstorm new ideas to drive new registrants and player retention for markets
- Update club, event details for initiatives including ranking lists, playoffs, contests, etc.
- Close leads for potential partnership across Flex League markets (i.e. major tennis facilities, community tennis associations (CTA’s) and other various tennis organizations
- Monthly analytics and KPI performance measurement against 2023 forecast
- Work closely with the product management team and senior execs for product enhancements and operational excellence
Requirements
What you Need to Succeed:
- 3-5+ years of work experience in an operational, sales and/or account management environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to own and complete tasks from ideation to execution to measurement
- Perfect follow through, extreme ownership, highly responsive
- Expert knowledge of Pickleball strongly preferably with experience working within the industry in addition to playing/passion for the sport
- Passion for educating and selling while focusing on solutions - you’re not easily intimidated
- Demonstrated ability to influence and network (within Pickleball a must, and within tennis is an added bonus)
- You can learn and apply new concepts quickly; comfortable with software
- A data focused, ambitious attitude - the numbers tell a story
- Strong digital/social marketing skills - twitter, IG, FB, etc.
- Comfortable and experienced with 3rd party tools/systems
- Professionalism, integrity, honesty and confidence.
Benefits
What we Offer:
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $50,000 to $77,000. There is also additional incentive compensation. The final base salary for this role will take into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location differential associated with where the position will be filled.
