Summit2Sea is looking for a Data Governance Consultant.

Impactful Work You'll Do:

  • Work to develop and maintain data sharing agreements with system owners, as part of the data acquisition process
  • Create initial draft agreements and coordinate and facilitate information gathering to populate technical details within the program templatesuch as connection method, data requirements, and sensitive data review
  • Interact with internal technical engineers and functional data analysts as well as customer stakeholders
  • Advance the organization's thinking of data governance concepts, explaining the benefits of data governance policies and procedures within the context of the user's needs
  • Assist with the establishment and maintenance of the data catalog by creating system pages and populating relevant information which is gathered from the data sharing agreement process
  • Prompt sensitive data reviews to flag sensitive data
  • Interacts with team members across the entire program, affording insight into the program as a whole

  • An individual with a methodical, analytic, yet creative problem solving mind and the confidence to bring innovative ideas to the tablefollow established processes and procedures, but always look for ways to improve, and coordinate with the team to review and implement efficiencies

Must Have:

  • Ability to represent and uphold our core values of integrity, client service, expertise, adaptability, communication, and teamwork
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical writing experience
  • Experience with Data Management / Data Analytics
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience ensuring that data analysis is accurate, with acute attention to detail
  • Experience with briefing senior managers on project status and identified risks
  • Active DoD Secret (or higher) Clearance (interim is ok)
  • BS degree

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience writing/managing data sharing agreement, customer agreement, or other official or technical documents (such as policy, standard operating procedure, official memo documents, SV-6or other system technical documents, etc.)
  • Proficient/Advanced knowledge and experience with Data Analysis / Data Management knowledge
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Experience with Collibra
