Requirements
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial packages for various stakeholders.
- Build and maintain annual budgets and periodic forecasts, including developing and maintaining detailed financial models.
- Partner with all departments companywide to review and manage monthly spend.
- Assist leadership in identifying strategic initiatives and coordinate projects to address opportunities and risks via deep data analysis.
- Provide assistance and coordination with internal and external audit processes.
- Manage lease accounting process, including preparation and review of memos, quarterly review in accordance with latest lease accounting standards, and providing guidance for accounting department regarding GAAP treatment.
- Continuously improve financial reporting and related controls processes.
- Deliver on ad hoc projects.
What You Bring to This Role
- Advanced knowledge of accounting functions.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles, theory, and practice.
- Ability to analyze and summarize accounting data, perform complex reconciliations, resolve complex accounting problems, and prepare complete set of financial statements on a quarterly basis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of audit techniques and internal controls standards.
- Advanced experience using financial transactions and systems as well as related policy, accounting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven knowledge of financial software tools to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, statements, and/or projections.
- Skilled in business risk analysis and making complex business recommendations and decisions.
- Advanced presentation, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- 3-5 years of experience in a hyper-growth startup, biotech, and/or tech-manufacturing industry.
- Excellent Excel skills, experience with Looker and other BI tools, and the ability to quickly learn new financial applications and systems.
- Passionate about instituting new processes and implementing the latest technology in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Highly Desirable
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and six (6) years of professional-level accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional Certification (CPA license).
- 2 to 3 years financial audit experience.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite platform.
- Prior experience with Adaptive financial planning and budgeting.

Compensation: $106,000 - $164,500/year. While compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
