Overview:
We are looking to fulfill our need for a Senior Production Engineer at our Carlstadt, NJ facility. This role will be responsible formalizing production processes, developing improvement strategies, identifying risk factors and working closely with production staff to ensure NAS’s goals are met. This individual will be accountable for assuring project accuracy from conception to completion. The Senior Production Engineer must possess exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills while being results-driven with a keen attention to detail.
Requirements
- Accountable for planning and scheduling work to ensure deadlines are met.
- Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining pre-production processes.
- Analyze data to identify potential issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Must be able to read fabrication and architectural drawings.
- Learn to translate client drawings into NAS product.
- Responsible for all production reporting, paperwork, bill of materials, and shipping.
- Provide guidance to the production staff to accomplish production goals.
- Create product and fabrication instructions for production.
- Accountable for costing and reconciling of inventory.
- Able to assist the production team with minimizing production costs while optimizing production and maintaining high quality standards.
- Perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime and outages.
- Develop and implement production processes for new products and changes in existing products.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree - engineering or related discipline or Technical School degree
- 4+ years of experience as a Production Engineer
- Must have an understanding of manufacturing processes
- Must know AutoCAD 2D
- Must possess expert level Excel skills
- Window, door and/or storefront experience a plus
- Working knowledge of MS Office. Expert level Excel skills is a must
- Applies health and safety practices
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, displaying strong written and oral communications
