Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Office Manager to join our fast-paced startup Software as a Service (SaaS) company. This position will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and office management functions of the organization, ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and that office operations run smoothly. This is a hybrid work environment, meaning the role will require some on-site and some remote work. This role offers exceptionally flexible arrangements.

  • Accounting Functions:
    • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
    • Ensure that all financial records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
    • Generate financial reports for management, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
    • Work with 3rd party payroll and HR outsourcing providers.
    • Work with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
    • Focus on internal controls and corporate governance.
  • Office Management Functions:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, including supplies, equipment, and facilities management.
    • Manage administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and responding to emails.
    • Maintain employee records and manage HR tasks, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
    • Ensure that the office is a safe and productive work environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers to ensure that accounting and office management tasks are completed accurately and on time.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that financial and office management processes are aligned with overall company objectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to other team members on accounting and office management tasks.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and office management roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, such as QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Bill.com
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with Maxio and SaasOptics is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid work environment.
