Job Description

Location: New York/Boston, US

Work pattern: Full-time, permanent. Primarily remote with occasional travel in the US and to the UK. In the future, 1-2 days/week from our Manhattan office.

Salary: Depending on experience

Level: Mid-level

Join our team at Fable Data as an Account Executive for Institutional Sales, responsible for owning the full sales cycle for the buy-side investor market. You will own your segment, identifying prospects and building the sales pipeline through outreach campaigns, introduction calls, and delivering client materials. You will explain technical concepts in simple terms to generate actionable insights and provide input into the development of sales collateral and marketing opportunities. Collaboration and stakeholder management are key to success in this role, as you work alongside the Director of Business Development to convert prospects into triallists and ensure customer information is up-to-date. You will benefit from a strong marketing engine and a passionate team who support you.

Requirements

  • Own the full sales cycle for the buy-side investor market from initial outreach to close
  • Be the authority on your segment, including account prioritization and understanding where and how our data products are fit for purpose for different types of institutional investors
  • Identify prospects and contact them via outreach campaigns (emails amp; calls) to build the sales pipeline with warm leads
  • Lead introduction calls, deliver client materials, and explain technical concepts in simple terms to highlight the value of our data to generate actionable insights
  • Provide input into the development of sales collateral and marketing opportunities based on identified client needs
  • Maintain Salesforce to ensure customer information and sales activity are up to date


Essential skills and experience

  • gt; 3 years of experience selling alternative data, equity research, or expert network services to the buy-side is required.
  • Bring an active network of contacts across Quantitative, Fundamental and Private Equity strategies
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent presentation, consultative sales, and negotiation skills
  • Participation in industry organizations and events
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Enjoy networking and engaging with new people daily
  • Ability to learn and understand why and how each of our clients engages with our data
  • Passionate about data and delivering valuable insights
  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial, and pragmatic
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
