Springboard Collaborative invites talented and passionate candidates to apply for the position of Program Director. The Program Director will be responsible for adapting, implementing, and leading Springboard programs at our partner sites in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and upcoming Mid-Atlantic and Southeast locations. A successful candidate will be a reliable, adaptable, communicative leader who can solve problems and maximize the impact of our programs.

Springboard Collaborative closes the literacy gap by closing the gap between home and school. We coach educators and family members to help kids learn to read by 4th grade. Springboard envisions a world in which all children have the requisite literacy skills to access life opportunities. The Program Director supports this goal by leading high-quality program implementation to achieve optimal program results.

The Program Director will report to the Senior Director, Partner Success and work as part of the Partner Success Team. This is a great opportunity to support an entrepreneurial team to maximize the impact of a rapidly growing organization.

Here are your priorities in the first year:
  • Meet quarterly and annual program metrics, which include:
    • Student enrollment and attendance
    • Family engagement
    • Scholar reading growth
    • Positive stakeholder experience
    • Workstream completion
Here are your responsibilities within and beyond the first year:
  • Management
    • Hold seasonal staff accountable for their sites’ performance
    • Focus internal and seasonal teams on key priorities/projects and ensure planning and milestones are on track.
  • Program delivery: Manage and implement Springboard programming such that offering components do the following:
    • Meet partner needs
    • Support the recruitment of seasonal staff and teachers
    • Ensure outputs meet key metrics
    • Ensure that stakeholders are satisfied with our service delivery
  • Partner relationships
    • Develop amp; steward relationships with seasonal staff, principals, district administrators, contract signees, and other regional influencers year-round
  • Internal collaboration amp; communication
    • Collect and use field experience to support internal program prep, continuous improvement, product development, and innovative projects; communicate the status of program delivery including data, achievements, and challenges
  • Culture: Model and maintain Springboard's values and norms within your department

  • You have 5+ years experience in early literacy education with 3+ years of experience training K-12 public school teachers.

It would also be nice if you had:

  • A Master’s degree in education
  • Experience navigating large school districts and collabo
