LAC Federal is seeking a Digital Curation Lead who brings advanced expertise and knowledge of digital librarianship and digital repository management as well as traditional library service areas such as cataloging and metadata, reference services, and library systems management. The Lead will supervise a team of more than 10 librarians, catalogers, and other information professionals in overseeing a multi-site, hybrid library and knowledge services program for a federal agency. The Lead provides overall leadership under the direction of senior Program Manager for knowledge and information services through strategic planning of library programs, development and upgrading of policies and procedures, and creation, management, curation, and dissemination of physical and digital information resources.

Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., information science, computer science, information systems, digital curation, etc.)
- 9 years of relevant professional experience working in a library, knowledge services program, and or information center
- Working knowledge of international development
- Knowledge of and experience with scientific research methods including use of primary sources
- Knowledge of recognized standards for long-term preservation and access of digital assets including data, text, images, audio, and video.
- Direct experience with digital library management and online repository management
- Knowledge of the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) and ISO 16363 Trusted Digital Repository Standards
- Knowledge of digital library and standards to include MARC21, RDA, RDF, MODS, METS, BIBFRAME, PREMIS
- Experience and ability to engage with diverse audiences including senior government officials
- Experience managing library operations and library staff
- A record of professional engagement with library professional community through scholarly engagement and professional associations
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant field (e.g., information science, computer science, information systems, digital curation, etc.)
