GREAT TEMP TO HIRE POSITION! Company located in Plainfield, IL is looking for a CNC Setup Technician to join their team! Starting at $20/hr +, depending on experience.
Job Description:
- Prepare and implement setups for CNC lathes and mills
- Prove out setups and CNC programs at work centers
- Monitor quality and adjust offsets in machine to hold tolerances per the blueprint specifications
- Inspect finish product using gauges and micrometers
- Observe machine operations to detect any problems: make necessary adjustments
Skills Needed:
- High level of understanding and usage of G-code and M-codes
- Ability to follow and interpret the logical flow of the CNC program file
- High level of ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and sketches
- Troubleshooting, problem analysis, and resolution
- Comfortable with tight tolerances
- Familiar with Fanuc controls, experience with DMG Mori/Mori Seiki is a plus
- Knowledge of MasterCAM and AutoCAD is a plus
- Willing to take on additional duties as needed
- Self-starter and highly motivated
