Our Properties:

NeueHouse currently operates across four different, but equally iconic properties in New York City and Los Angeles:

  • Our Madison Square (MSQ)?House is situated in New York’s iconic Flatiron District, was previously home for Tepper Galleries, a well-known Manhattan auction house for international artists and collectors in the 1930s and neighbors the 69th Regiment Armory where the first International Exhibition of Modern Art was held.
  • Our ?Hollywood House (HWD), which sits on Sunset Boulevard, is one of LA’s most celebrated buildings and occupies the original CBS Studio (the world’s first structure built intentionally for broadcast). Here genre- defining artists from Orson Wells and Lucille Ball to Janis Joplin, the Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan built their legacy.
  • Our Bradbury House (BB)?sits within the Bradbury building in DTLA. Built in 1893, the Bradbury Building is an architectural masterpiece and one of Los Angeles’ most historic landmarks.
  • Our Venice Beach House (VB)?was once the creative home to some of the most influential creative luminaries in art and entertainment including Hal Ashby, Oliver Stone, and David Hockney, NeueHouse Venice Beach is a new work, social, and cultural hub for the Venice creative community.

The Role:

Working as part of the Community + Culture team at NeueHouse, the Programming Manager for Hollywood and Bradbury will manage all production on cultural programs and membership experience initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Community + Culture with a dotted line into the Director of Event Production, the role is responsible for managing all aspects of programming production developed by the Director of Community and Culture.

The role oversees full event production of roughly 20 programs per month, including and not limited to: all admin related to event pre/post-production, financial reporting and accounting of relevant costs, partner / talent / vendor liaising, in-house staffing, on-site execution, management of communications across all internal teams (AV, Famp;B, Operations, Marketing), and post-production reporting and follow-up. The Programming Manager sets the standard for cultural programming events which serve as a key amenity for Members + Guests, as well as providing a critical membership sales and retention tool.

Requirements

The NeueHouse universe is vast and draws from the worlds of art, music, entertainment, publishing, media, performance, and beyond. The Programming Manager must be at home navigating the individuals, brands, and businesses who call these industries and NeueHouse home. This role’s function includes:

  • Production:
    • Support Director of Community and Culture by fully owning production programs and bringing them from concept into reality, including but not limited to: partner walk-throughs, asking questions to obtain all production needs, flushing out all production to build out BEO (i.e., run of the show, AV needs, floor plans for each event), and communicating our those details to talent / partners prior to the event.
    • Running the production on the day of including executing details as small as moving furniture and running the door, to welcoming talent and managing a prompt ROS.
    • Oversee all post-production details, from distributing photos / sound recordings, to processing invoices, and keeping scrupulous account of department spendings.
  • Accounting + Budgeting:
    • Oversee forecasting for programming events (through developing pro-forma, Famp;B / staffing / rental / AV allocations) track expenses for each event, submit vendor / talent invoices, prepare monthly budget reports.
  • Marketing:
    • Work with partners to collect images for Splash RSVP pages, and when required, submit brand aligned copy for events.
    • Create these RSVP pages for each program according to existing brand templates.
    • Submit Creative Request forms to the Marketing team for creative assets required for programming events.
  • Operations: Communicate RSVP numbers and guest count expectations, further collecting and submitting COIs to the NeueHouse building liaison when needed.
  • Management amp; Leadership
    • Keep all stakeholders apprised on any key changes in production or post that will affect final delivery.
    • Maintain clarity of information and good channels of comm
