Civil Roadway Designer

Opening for an entry-level civil/roadway designer in our award-winning highway/roadway practice in either our Yarmouth, Maine or Bedford, New Hampshire office. This is an opportunity to apply your skills, contribute to major projects, and be mentored by engineers with significant experience.

• Assist in the design and development of conceptual, preliminary and final design plans for highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects
• Assist in the design and production of traffic control and staging plans and traffic, signing, and striping plans
• Perform geometric designs and plan development utilizing a variety of computer design software, including MicroStation, AutoCadd, InRoads, AutoTurn and GuideSign
• Assist in the design of ADA-compliant facilities, including sidewalks, shared-use paths, and intersection curb ramps

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
• Zero- five years of civil engineering experience
• Must be a detailed-oriented, self-starter, and comfortable working in a team environment
• Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with MicroStation V8i experience with Bentley In-Roads is a plus
• EIT certification and prior internship experience are preferred but not required
