We are seeking to hire a People Operations Generalist to partner with team leaders to implement and execute HR strategies focused on employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee training. The ideal candidate believes in the power of kindness, has exceptional attention to detail, and strives to exceed business needs and expectations. In this role, you will play a key part in warmly welcoming and supporting employees and will own programs that run across a broad spectrum of people operations processes that contribute to the hiring, growth, and retention of our employees.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with other members of the People Ops department to oversee the onboarding process for new company employees, including sending offer letters, verifying background checks, coordinating start dates, and I-9 verification.
  • Develop onboarding plans, lead bi-weekly orientation, and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
  • Employee relations, including engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations.
  • Respond to general HR inquiries from Coopers and leaders within Cask.
  • Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with upper management, Coopers, and third-party vendors.
  • Process HR data changes in HRIS system and perform audits to ensure data is accurate.
  • Evaluate employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating documented coaching action (including terminations if necessary)
  • Develop official internal documents and templates such as offer letters, policies, and presentations.
  • Perform data analysis on various HR data and keep weekly scorecard metrics.
  • Conduct employee check-ins and exit surveys/interviews and present findings.
  • Assist in managing leaves of absence, meeting with Coopers to explain various leave options, and coordinating with PEO on leave dates.
  • Create employee engagement plans and development plans.
  • Maintain digital files for employee documents, and perform monthly audits to ensure compliance.
  • Complete various HR tasks, including some administrative tasks, to support the daily operations of the People Ops department.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 2-4 years of experience in human resources or people operations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Able to create PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate messages, and be comfortable in presenting to various levels of the organization
  • Comfortable leading training sessions and presenting to groups
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently amp; productively in a remote environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with PEOs is ideal
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing system preferred
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP preferred
