An industry-leading client of ours is currently looking for an experienced Civil Designer to join their team
Responsibilities:
- Work to develop the understanding and knowledge of civil design as well as SW+ design, computer, and general office standards
- Contributes and supports the engineering team in master planning, engineering design, and research for a specific task on projects
- Assist engineers and project managers in the analysis of proposed and current projects
- Seek mentorship on analyzing plan presentation, reliability, engineering design, project scopes and delivery timelines·
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college/university preferred
- Minimum 2 years CAD Tech experience, previous Civil Engineering internship experience with a Civil Engineering design firm, and/or AutoCAD certification required
Desired Skills:
- Basic AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills required,
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT)/ Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) registration preferred,
- Strong desire for continuous professional and personal development and improvement,
- ability to work independently to effectively manage time and work in a team environment,
- proficiency in a wide variety of software programs including Microsoft Office,
- basic knowledge of Civil Engineering Design (Preliminary Plats, SWPPP, Grading, Drainage, Water, and Sewer Systems),
- ability to read and understand Civil and Landscape drawings, and a valid driver's license
