What Does an Inside Contractor Sales Representative Do?
  • Builds new partnerships/relationships and support existing customers and contractors
  • Maintains a consistent, pleasant, customer service-oriented image to customers
  • Partners with customers to provide assistance with product selection and communicate new trends, product releases, promotions, and purchase delivery dates.
  • Reads blueprints and provides estimates on material needs
  • Prepares bids and material estimates from customer or contractor blueprints
  • Assists with accounts receivable collections
  • Prepares and inputs orders as necessary
  • Additional duties as required

Requirements

What Does It Take to be Successful as an Inside Contractor Sales Representative?
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college in business preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in the building materials or construction industry
  • Prior retail sales experience in hardware, lumber or a relatable industry highly preferred
  • Experience in special order doors, windows, and building materials preferred
  • Experience creating take-offs and estimates preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a random basis
  • Results-oriented with the ability to serve customers with humility and be a steward of Nation’s Best’s values
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills
